DescriptionThe Sand species are known to be calm and open minded wolves, helping out any traveler that might pass by their village. They do not seek trouble, but will stand their ground to protect what is theirs. These wolves are known for making sand homes using their elemental energy, stabilizing the sand in order to sleep and live inside a shelter. They can also go for long periods of time without water, as their origin began in the desert. Most packs are located in the desert because there is no other place with the amount of sand needed for an ideal home. Sand wolves are the only species that feature longer ears and a more bushy tail. The species itself is thriving, but does not seek trouble, as most other species do not venture far into the desert. This makes the desert an excellent home for sand wolves who seek protection from unwanted visitors. Sand wolves are known as great trappers, as they would control drift sand to their desire. They mostly did so to keep unwanted visitors out. Their body has a unique effect, which makes sand almost feel like water would to a wolf. They can navigate and move around in the sand with ease.
AppearanceSand wolves have a brown and golden pelt, with large ears and an extra bushy tail. Females have slightly shorter ears and longer tails than the males. They also have a golden underbelly and complete face marking along with ear tip, under-tail, and sock markings on all four legs. They have white inner ears, brow, and snout strip markings, along with a darker grayish-brown upper tail-tip and a brown nose. Males are exactly the same only with a larger tail marking. Their paw pads are pure white, and they have a dark pink tongue.
HabitatThe Sand species will always choose a sand like habitat over any other, meaning most of the wolves live in the desert, and those who left usually try to locate a relatively sandy area. The sand is the biggest advantage they have when it comes to self defense, so it's an absolute necessity for the wolves to seek these areas.

Reproduction
Both male and female plant wolves become sexually mature around the age of 18, though it has been known to happen earlier as well. They follow a breeding season which starts in January and ends late April. Some wolves do choose to breed out of season. Unlike most animals, sand wolves bond with one another to figure out if they belong with each other. Sand wolves do not have any sort of ritual, instead they usually carefully plan out when to have pups. They will gather more food and focus on their den being a safe environment for pups. Once mated, it will take around 59 - 65 days before the pups are born. Once the pups can open their eyes, the parents will quickly allow them to go outside, of course with a watchful eye. They simply want their pups to smell the fresh air and get in contact with sand as fast as possible.
