Cobor Strikes
SummaryEpisode 8 opens up to Cobor with the preparations for his attack completed and he is getting himself ready to take down the leaders of the BlazingWood pack, but he sends his summoning Tachira away for unknown reasons. After the opening, the episode shows us the Ghost Pup’s desert base where two new characters are introduced; Nikku and Claries. We learn that Kareny has a lot of trouble accepting the fact Seth got a very important mission and not her, and she and Claries express that they don't believe Seth will succeed. It's also hinted that something ominous is going on with Kaitou that only Kane and Michaia knows of, and despite Claries curiosity Kane refuses to tell her anything.
The scene then cuts to Seth in the BlazingWood pack’s area but far away from where the pack is located. He is enjoying berries, while his summoning Shiseru is lecturing him for being lazy. Its revealed that she has been with Seth since the day he was born. She tries one last time to get Seth to focus on the mission, but Seth assures her nothing will go wrong. At the BlazingWood pack, Kala and Matt notices that there’s growing tension between their fathers Krypton and Terro, as Matt decides to investigate. Ruuza wakes up and meets her mother outside the cave, where Kala explains the tension between the two male leaders of the pack and the rivalry between the packs before they were united. Its also shown that Krypton and Terro had a run-in when they were little but it’s not shown or revealed exactly what happened. It’s also shown that Ruuza has some rather rude manners. When Matt arrives at his parents den, Terro explains that during the grieving stage after the loss of the pups, that Krypton took the rank as leader from him. Terro explains he got it back, but he wasn't allowed to make any decisions in relation to the pack. Matt, however, doesn't’ side with his father and agrees with Krypton which makes Flora angry with him. She leaves in hopes that he will apologize, but Matt leaves. Once Terro is alone he spots the eavesdropping Ruuza who managed to sneak in. Even if he scolds her, Ruuza takes Terro’s side, and its shown that the two of them are forming a bond. Ruuza leaves the cave and express happiness over having a family, when Mira arrives to give some food to her and Mutt. Ruuza is more open about her disdain towards Krypton, much to everyone’s surprise of how rude she is and has no hesitation of saying whats on her mind. It’s also revealed that Ruuza hasnt been taught much about anything, as Mira and Argon explains to Ruuza how aging works, but Ruuza is distracted by a wolf school class nearby, where an elder is telling the pups of the pack and poisoning the reputation of Ghost Pups and how evil they are. Ruuza, however, does not take this and she interupts the class by making a point. However nobody approves of her, and Krypton quickly arrives to solve the problem but Ruuza doesnt back down even to the leader of the pack, disrespecting him in front of several pups and other wolves. It seems like Krypton would have attacked to show her her place, but Terro arrives to take Ruuza away and avoid further tense situations. The scene then cuts to Kaitou and one of his nightmares, but in this particiular dream its revealed much more of his past, including some rather dark mysteries. Kaitou awakes, and he is upset over his nightmares. He express worry why he hasnt seen Seth yet, but he then spots Flora who is walking out of the pack territory to eat berries. The scene changes back to Terro and Ruuza as they have left the area and are alone, and Terro express same feelings Ruuza have towards the Ghost Pups, revealing he had a run in with some Dark Cities a while ago but something happened that made Terro unable to forgive himself. It’s shown that the Dark City wolves that came was Seth and most likely his family. The two of them bond over the shared feelings towards the Ghost Pups. Elsewhere Kala and Flower were having a talk with one another as Kala couldn't help but to wonder how she got those scars on her neck. Flower then explain that she got them the very same day Kala left. Krypton gave them to her, as he believed that she was in on it too (the death of Kala and Matt their litter), but was saved by Argon and Mira, strengthening the bond between Argon and Flower. We cut back to Kaitou who is spying on Flora, but he panics when he spots Cobor in the bushes nearby and its shown that Kaitou does not want to be seen by Cobor at all. To his horror, Flora falls to his tricks of making whimpers and yelps as if he’s a wolf in need. Kaitou first seems to be running away, but he changes his mind and decides to help. He runs to the pack territory, but both of the guards are asleep so he takes matters into his own hand and reveals his ability to shapeshift, only keeping the color of his eyes. We see Ruuza and Terror talking about the events around the death of Matt and Kala’s pups, and several details about the event are revealed. Ruuza is about to ask something more, but is interrupted by Kaitou (disguised as a fire wolf) who calls her name instead of Terro's. Terro is confused by Tarsa (Kaitou)’s eyes and voice change but he forgets all about it when Kaitou tells them Flora is in trouble and Terro runs off to find her. Ruuza thanks Kaitou, before she runs off and Kaitou leaves. Ruuza is seen making it to her father and Krypton, telling them what the guard (Kaitou) told them and Krypton howls to raise the alarm of intruders. We cut back to Cobor who is confused why the alarm has already been raised, and its shown that Flora is bloody and on the ground but still alive. She seems determined that the pack will come and save her, but Cobor is confident they won’t make it on time. However he is surprised by Terro as he rushes in to attack and Cobor quickly acts. He draws blood and creates a circle of symbols, summoning what is later revealed to be a fire demon. The fire demon creates a fire around them, but Terro leaps right over into the trap, where another creature Cobor summoned attacks Terro and sucks all the energy out of him, rendering him exhausted and unable to fight. The pack comes to the aid, but they are blocked out by the rising wall of fire and shadow wolves, who makes sure nobody can jump over and keep everyone outside. Ruuza is there with them, and she shows fear and anger over the situation, but she seems to see a solution. The episode ends soon with Cobor standing over Flora as he prepares to finish her of. |
