Frogs of Delv Ihoo
Delv Ihoo consists of several types of frogs. While some have not mutated over the years, others have. Because of this Delv Ihoo features several unique types of frogs and toads. Some remain true to their origin while others mutated with new features.
Woodland Frog
These frogs are known as the "Woodland frogs". They are the most common type of frog that can be found on Delv Ihoo. Their range spreads almost over all of Delv Ihoo, excluding unique sections that have been altered by the Dragons. They are often seen as snacks for the wolves that roam around. They can be found in moist area's, streams, lakes and grasslands. They do require water to remain moist. They become around 5,5 cm.

Oko Frog
Known as the Oko frogs, they are a more rare type of frog breed. While they are common in the "Poison Forest", due to the fact that they cannot be found elsewhere, they are treated as a rare species. They are not poisonous despite their origin lying within this poisonous forest. They are often seen hiding near tree branches that have fallen in the water. Their piercing green eyes confuses predatory animals, as those might see it as a poisonous frog. They aren't often eaten by wolves as the rumor states they taste like mud. Birds however do enjoy the taste of these creatures. Oko frogs grow around a size of 7,5, this is seen as rather big for a frog.

Lazui Frog
Lazui frogs are seen as a rare breed of frog. They are only common within the great lake where "Lamuria", the Dragon Goddess of water herself resides. These little frogs do not fear wolves of the water species. Despite the fact that such wolves eat frogs, they have chosen not to hunt the Lazui frogs. For the reason that these little guys have a tail similar just like them. Normal frogs lose their tails, but these frogs through evolution kept holding on to them. Water wolves tend to protect them and even care about their population. They are opportunists as they will feed on remains of fishes if found. They grow around a size of 5 cm.

Poisonous Frogs of Delv Ihoo
Delv Ihoo consist of several species of poisonous frogs. Before the land was separated, there was no such thing as a poisonous frog. But due to the effects of the Dragon god "Velok", some frogs mutated and changed becoming their very own unique species. Most can only be found in the Poison forest.
Yudatsu Frog
Known as the Yudatsu frogs, they are a more rare type of frog breed. While they are common in the "Poison Forest", due to the fact that they cannot be found elsewhere, they are treated as a rare species. These frogs aren't deadly but nor are they pleasant. Their bodies release a substance similar to amygdalin, equally can they spit this substance. This can lead to cyanide poisoning, which in result can cause: headache, dizziness and seizures. Because of this, most animals will avoid them. They grow to a size of 3 cm.
|
Xotl Frog
Known as the Xotl frogs, they are a endangered type of frog breed. They are only found in the "Poison Forest", and only in the lakes and streams within this forest. These frogs aren't hostile, but they are among the most poisonous creatures within the Poison forest. Their skin releases a substance known as batrachotoxin which can lead to: paralysis, numbness, difficult breathing, muscle contractions and death. Most animals will leave them alone as digesting them can easily cause death. They grow to a size of 5 cm.

Ground Toad
Ground frogs are well known as the most common toad on Delv Ihoo. As they can be found nearly everywhere, excluding the unique area's that have been altered by the dragons. They are docile creatures and will rarely look for trouble. Often found near streams or mud these guys can grow to a size of 16-25 cm. While not extremely poisonous, they have poisonous glands. Toguama Toad
Toguama toads are a rare breed of toads that only live near the volcano on Delv Ihoo itself. They fear nothing, and have a rather bold attitude. They are away that they make a terrible snack, as their insides contain a magma like substance. Any that tries to digest them will likely die. Aside from that, their skin is as hard as rock making them again less interesting to consume. Their diet is what sets them apart from most frogs, as they eat stones. Oddly those very stones will become part of the magma like substance, causing these creatures to never defecate. Unlike many toads they require no water. They can grow to a size of 16-30 cm. They are the only type of toad that even lives in this area, as amphibians in general are rare in these area's.

Kofubu Toad
Kofubu toads are known as the most endangered toad of them all. Just like the Toguama toad, they too are a strange breed of toad that lives within the snowy plains of Delv Ihoo. They are the only amphibian present in this cold area as well. What sets them apart is their unique growth of natural resources. Their backs grow a special type of crystal, and their body grows blue gemstones. Other than that they are also known to only digest stones and gems. They will use their back to protect themselves from incoming predators, and will usually remain in the ice cold streams within the snowy plains. Sadly they are often captured by merchants of the ice species, who seek to sell their crystals and gems. While some ice wolves will keep them in captivity and wait for the natural process where the crystals and gems will fall out and be replaced, some wolves will kill them and simply take everything by force. This left this toad to become critically endangered, luckily some ice creatures including wolves are protecting them from greedy merchants nowadays.
