Poison thoughts
SummaryThe episode opens up to Shira, with her children Takaya, Regy, and Suke getting ready as the Travelling Group is entering the Poison Forest. Takaya is to play a part of getting into their group, while her brothers launch a fake attack. Mutt is startled by the sight of a snake and Ruuza mocks him for being afraid. Matt states that the poison forest is nothing to laugh at, as the poison wolves are known for being the worst types of criminals, along with Shadow wolves. Kala does mention that her fear for the wolf "Chaos" is higher than that towards poison wolves. They mention how they were attacked earlier by a poison wolf, where Ruuza seems proud of what she did to him and is scolded for it.
It’s revealed that the Azure Dragons had eggs together, each egg becoming the God or Goddess of each wolf species, and how the dragons affected the land on the island. It’s also revealed that each dragon god or goddess blessed one wolf of their kind, Ruuza not being the only one blessed by the dragons, and that the only Ghost Wolf left, being Kane, is most likely the blessed wolf of the Ghost species. Before they can talk more they are attacked by Regy and Suke who lead a fake attack. Before either Matt or Kala can attack, Mutt storms forwards and defends Ruuza by knocking Suke back. Kala pins Regy down, but out of nowhere Takaya appears and knocks Suke far away. Regy and Suke retreat, and Takaya remains behind. At first, Matt and Kala are hostile to her, but Takaya lies and tells them she’s a lone wolf and only helped them because she was tired of the poison wolves giving her kind a bad reputation.Matt allows her to tag along, much to Mutt’s enragement, not understanding Matt’s leader choice of accepting her but still growling at him. He wonders why he trusts a poison wolf, but not a pup. The scene cuts to the evening when the small group has left the Poison Forest. Takaya tries to be friendly to Ruuza, but it’s not going too well as Takaya assumes she and Mutt are a couple. Mutt becomes grumpier and more annoyed by Matt who tells him to cut out the growling. Mutt walks off, but not too far, as Kala questions Matt about why he let Takaya stay. He tells her that it’s because he wants more bodyguards for Ruuza, much to Kala’s annoyance. It’s shown Kala is more open minded to Mutt, where Matt still is hostile. The scene cuts to Chaos and Ladon away from the shadowy place, and it’s revealed Chaos is not going after Ruuza first but has to take a detour before he can return to following her. He tells Ladon of what he has heard of what Takaya planned to do, and it’s revealed Ladon is Takaya’s brother. Chaos gets suspicious when he sees Ladon recognized the name, but Ladon lies and says he doesn’t know her. The scene cuts to Kaitou having a nightmare. Chaos is seen in the flashes of images from his childhood, where Kaitou is punished severely and traumatized. He wakes up with a jolt and cries by the memories of his past, and the episode ends. |
