The Hero Clans
The Hero Clans have always been formed by packs of Lightning and Electric wolves. While it had several leaders in the past, it is presently ruled by a Queen and her followers. The Hero Clans stood for justice, enforcing this by protecting the land and acting against criminal activity. However, since the rise of the Queen a few years ago, this pack has changed dramatically and uses its own history to its advantage. They are currently still known as the so called "Heroes that protect the lands", because their corruption is not really known about yet.
History
A long time ago during the big gathering, where all wolves came together to agree upon laws in order to make sure life could continue smoothly, the ancestors who started the "Hero Clans" were present. They wanted to make sure that rules would be followed and took it upon themselves to make sure the land would be peaceful and to their liking. Most laws were respected, and one of the more known ones was to always hunt without using powers. They brought up, however, one law which the society of the Dark Cities did not agree on. The law would prevent young wolves from training in combat, as the Hero Clans wanted to make sure the chances of young wolves dying would be higher, as it had always been for their ancestors. The Dark Cities felt like this was unfair, because they wanted their children to be able to defend themselves. Aside from that, the thought that only the Hero Clans were allowed to teach their young wolves combat skills was seen as a possibility for them to gain power. If this law would have been agreed upon, the Hero Clans would have had much better and skilled wolves in their pack than all other packs.
As noble as the Hero Clans' intentions were, they already showed a darker side. With the disagreement of the Dark Cities, they began spreading rumors to bring them in the spotlight and demonize these wolves to the point where most of the inhabits of the island automatically feared them. They covered up information about the origin of the Dark Cities, them being "The Followers of Kumiko", and that they were related to the white wolves or held ties to that original pack. The Hero Clans however, aside from demonizing those they considered enemies, kept their word to fight crime and protect the land. As much as the Dark Cities didn't necessarily hate the Hero Clans, many individual societies among this pack became targeted because they practiced ranks like Thieving, which, of course, was a crime. The Hero Clans originally always existed out of several packs and leaders. This changed with the rise of the Queen. A long time ago, the founder of the Hero Clans was known as a king, as the pack grew, the king disappeared to allow more wolves to make their own choices. With the rise of the Queen, they went back to older habits.
Not too long before the slaughter of the Dark Cities, a Queen had risen in the Hero Clans. As leaders ended up being killed by unknown assassins, the only living wolf that had blood of leaders in her veins was Reika. Reika took upon this role of Queen, promising her clan a so-called revenge for their fallen leaders. She never considered having more than one leader, which left other packs in the Hero Clans with a commander status instead of a leader one. Reika actually obtained her power as a Queen due to her own corruption, which she dragged her pack into completely. She has ties to the Shadow Clans, and is even one of the six commanders. She used her power to aid the Shadow Clans, ensuring the fall of the Dark Cities. As the Dark Cities fell, she spread messages telling how they had finally fallen and peace could, at last, return. Because of what her ancestors did, most wolves saw the fall of this society as a blessing rather than a brutal slaughter. Many packs were not aware of the amount of packs in the society of the Dark Cities, nor were they aware that children were targeted. Because this society had been demonized, Reika got away with it all, and has reigned since that very day.
Most well known ranks
The Hero Clans focuses mostly on the following ranks: Soldier, Trader, Healer, Queen (or King). The Hero Clans has focused on soldier ranks, rather than regular member ranks, from the start. The soldiers would be trained to fight and other wolves among the pack are to make sure they are fed. Soldiers are incredibly important to the Hero Clans, as they need the big numbers to complete various tasks. Trader is a well-known rank as well, since the Hero Clans hold "Hero markets". These markets usually trade all sorts of meats, stones, and other values in return for something different. As some meat is harder to obtain, they will easily trade off meat from their lands for meat of another land. For example, Ice wolves could trade snow hares for a different type of hare. The pack also focuses on the Healer rank, as the Light species can heal using their energy. And finally, a rank that was actually abolished by the Hero Clans has been restored. They now have a Queen instead of a pack leader. A Queen is basically the same as a pack leader, the difference is that a Queen rules over more than one pack.
Motives & Goals
The Hero Clans' original goals and motives were quite noble, with them wanting to protect the land and bring justice upon criminals. This is something they, in fact, still do. But with the rise of their Queen, the pack has gone down a slightly darker path, even when the regular pack members are not aware of this. Reika uses her power and army, not only to defend or protect, but also to demonize others, and it grants her almost a goddess-like status as she decides who lives and who dies. As of now, the reason why Reika became an ally of the Shadow Clans remains a mystery. It is unsure what she wanted to achieve with this.
Clans
The Hero Clans mostly exist out of two elements, being the Light and Electric species. Even so, Hero Clans are known to have Wind species following their orders as well. The majority of their population remains Electric and Light, but they have smaller units of different types of species that follow the orders as well.
