DescriptionEarth Rabbits are a well known and common species on the island of Delv Ihoo. They are quick and agile and just like the Forrest Rabbit loved by wolves. Compared to the Forrest Rabbit they are a tad harder to catch as they quickly resist and often escape through tunnels they make underground. They live in a colony with many individuals, they make their dens underground deeper than most rabbit species. They are living in large underground networks with multiple entrances which they leave usually early in the morning to look for food. When looking out for predators, one or more of the Earth Rabbits will stand watch, to warn others of approaching danger. When a predator is spotted they will stamp their back feet on the ground to give signals to the others, this way the other rabbits of the colony will run and hide in one of the many holes they have spread across their territory. When the females in the group give birth the males have the task of foraging food for the mothers and their babies. Often females without babies will take the job of a babysitter in case the mother chooses to go out as well. Just like the Forrest Rabbit these rabbits reproduce quickly as it only takes 20 days for a female rabbit to give birth. The baby rabbits are grown up after a month. They are extremely social animals and often groom one another to tighten the bonds.
AppearanceEarth Rabbits feature a brownish pelt with darker markings. The females differ in markings as their facial marking runs down their chest and rather than the inside of the ear have the outside colored darker brown. They also feature a darker brown marking on their back. The males compared to the females have shorter colored socks on their front and back feet, and have more of a mask like marking on their face. They always have yellow eyes. They have a rather fluffy pelt but they have no retractable claws. When born their pelt only features the darkest color of their body and in a matter of 5 days the light brown fur replaces this on most spots.
HabitatThe Earth Rabbits are quite common in regular forests and mountain areas. They usually prefer to live in mountain areas as it helps them to blend in. When living in the forest they live almost completely underground.

Ability(ies) / Power
Earth rabbits do not posses the power to control earth itself, but they do posses a special type of pelt which allows them to stay warm and cool at all times. As they live underground it can get very cold and when this happens they poof up their fur which increases when the air is cold and decreases if the air is hot.
Reproduction
Both male and female Earth Rabbits become sexually mature around 1 month old. They do not follow a breeding seasons as they are known to breed whenever a female is ready for mating. Earth Rabbits do not live together in a group and mostly have a solitary live, only when a female is pregnant will the male accompany her until the baby rabbits can live on their own. A female of this species only needs 20 days to give birth, the baby rabbits themselves only need 20 days to reach maximum size as they will go on their own way once they 1 month old.
