Shadow Clans
The Shadow Clans are the most feared packs in the whole country of Delv Ihoo. The pack, which started out small, gained a lot of followers over time, both by force and free will. Ruled by an unknown wolf referred to as "Boss" or "Leader", no one has a clue of the real identity of the wolf behind this pack. What is known for sure, is that the pack is ruled by a main leader and his commanders who are referred to as "the six leaders". Their goal remains a mystery, as nobody else knows their true motives.
History
The Shadow Clans started out small and unknown to the public. When exactly this pack had started rising remains unsure. The pack gained a lot of attention after they destroyed the Elemental pack, but even then, most of the society ignored this event. The Dark Cities were aware of it, but didn't know what exactly they were dealing with. Their biggest mistake was to think that this pack would follow the rules they had set up. The Dark Cities fell during pup season when their pups were still young. The Shadow Clans had broken the rules and attacked during a season meant for absolute peace. After the fall of the Dark Cities, the Shadow Clans hadn't only caused corruption in the Hero Clans, but also brought fear upon the lands. Most packs avoided trouble with the Shadow Clans, leaving many opportunities open for them. The Shadow Clan has remained successful for years until the survivors of the Dark Cities became an issue. These survivors had killed leaders and wolves, leaving the Shadow Clan leader to feel quite irritated at them. At this time, the Shadow Clans are known as the strongest pack on Delv Ihoo.
The slaughter of the Dark Cities was covered up professionally, to the point where most wolves don't even recall the society of the Dark Cities to have been as big as it was. What exactly happened remains a mystery, but the attack itself was a bloodbath. The Shadow Clans had used foul tactics such as using the dark Cities' own children against them, which kept the Shadow Clans safe and the parents at loss as they would not harm their own children. The Shadow Clans had worked together with the Hero Clans to succeed. These events left the surrounding society unsure of the power that the Shadow Clans themselves posses. During the attacks, the Shadow Clans had focused on taking down packs or wolves that could be a possible threat to their own pack. They have since then realized their mistakes, as the Leader himself mentioned in episode 4 that the survivors were more plentiful than he had expected. Nonetheless, the Shadow Clans continue to thrive.
Most well known ranks
The Shadow Clan focuses a lot on the following ranks: Torturer, Bounty-hunter, Assassin and Soldier. The torture rank is an ancient rank that originally wasn't as brutal as the Shadow Clans made it to be. Their leader provided them with information and methods to torture on a level unlike what any pack had ever seen before. The leader also personally trained his most well-known torturers himself. Apart from this rank, they also focused on gaining recruits that had skill in bounty-hunting. The Shadow Clans promise great rewards and thus many bounty-hunters have taken place in the pack, teaching other recruits as well. The assassin rank is a highly rewarded rank as well. Even though the Shadow Clans are known to be brutal, in many cases they actually prefer to kill silently without leaving a trace. The final, most well-known rank inside the Shadow Clans, is the soldier rank Soldiers are trained differently compared to regular pack members. Soldiers are born and trained right away, while weaker or lower ranked wolves have to hunt to feed them. The Shadow Clans have spent a lot of time on gaining wolves that were trained to fight. Most packs only contain a few soldier wolves, while the Shadow Clans contain many individuals for this purpose and rank.
Motives & Goals
The motives and goals behind this Clan are a mystery. This pack has worked in secret for many years now, but during the fall of the Elemental Pack and the Dark Cities they stepped out of the shadows and quickly became the most dominant and most feared pack of them all. Their goals remain unclear, as the leader of the Shadow Clans managed to merge his pack with the Hero Clans. This isn't known by society, but surprisingly, this isn't known by most of the Hero Clans either. The merging of both clans has given the advantage to the Shadow Clans, who took down the Dark Cities because, according to their leader, they could become a threat to the Shadow Clans. Apart from this, they are also after the "Azure Wolf" for unknown reasons, as their intentions are to capture her alive. The pack itself has also been focusing on maintaining numbers in bigger packs nearby. They will send out assassins to lower the numbers by either killing newborns or bringing chaos to the pack by killing a leader, which leaves a lot of stress on the pack itself. In episode 4, it was shown that Cobor had killed the leader of the Metal Clan. His next order was to take down the leaders of the BlazingWood pack .
Clans
As stated before, the Shadow Clans started out quite small. In order to become as big as they did, they gained more members by packs simply joining them while others where forced. They especially aimed at the Shadow species, leaving many to join out of fear. This has resulted in a bad reputation of the Shadow species as most wolves automatically assume they must be from the Shadow Clans. Unlike many others, the Shadow Clansare referred to as a "Clan" most of the time, instead of a pack. This is because a pack exists out of one community or might have allies, while the Shadow Clans united packs to become one, resulting in clans. Even to this day, they are still rounding up newcomers and increasing their numbers. The Hero Clans are one of the biggest to have joined the Shadow Clans. This corruption is mostly unknown by the main society, leaving the Shadow Clans with many opportunities and advantages over the lands they all live on.
Slave camps
The slave camps were first shown in episode 5. What exactly their structure is like and why the leader is building it is still unknown. What is known is that the Shadow Clans have gathered many slaves after their victory on the Dark Cities. They used most of the slaves as energy sources and as help to work on something that is being built by the Shadow Clans. Many of the young pups haven't only been enslaved there for the purpose of what is being built, but have also been used for experiments resulting in torture and death. Some of the main commanders in the slave camps have enjoyed harming young pups and using them for whatever they pleaseit more than they should. This left the slave camps with dwindling slave numbers until the Shadow Clan leader ordered slightly more humane treatments in order to keep more of them alive.
The drop in numbers also resulted the Shadow Clan leader ordering to enslave young wolves or orphans. As shown in episode 5, the slave camps work with a special system in which all wolves have to wear some sort of collar around their neck. This collar not only blocks their ability to use special powers, but it also can harm them from a distance. The daily work in the slave camps is monitored by guards, which are usually Shadow wolves, holding a whip made out of their elemental power to discipline the slaves. One slave camp has been destroyed, as mentioned in episode 4. This shows that the Shadow Clans had two slave camps under their control. The other slave camp, however, was destroyed by the survivors of the Dark Cities.
The leader and main commanders
Currently the Shadow Clans are lead by a mysterious wolf that is known as "Leader" or "Boss". Under him are 6 commanders of the pack. Those would be Acilla his mate, Chaos, Rose, Cobor, Reika and Raven. The Shadow Clans rule over many packs and have one of the biggest societies.
